| | Relax and refresh! Make a commitment to your health and wellbeing and bring your body in to yoga class!
An inspiring and supportive teacher with almost 20 years of yoga experience, Anne will help you nourish yourself with this time-honored system. You'll practice classical hatha yoga uniting active ("ha" or "yang") and passive ("tha" or "yin") elements -- taught with an innovative, modern approach. All are invited to experience yoga's many benefits; Anne's students range from teenagers to seniors, from artists to construction workers to doctors to full-time parents, from total beginners to intermediates. Awaken your breath and inhabit your body with appreciation and joy in Anne's safe yet challenging class. Anne's research in comparative anatomy, including decades of personal experimentation and observation, has shown her that bone structure varies greatly and should always be taken into account. Anne tailors the yoga to fit the individual, not the other way around. She also pays as much attention to internal "alignment" as she does to the external appearance of each pose, giving students this gentle reminder: It's not so much about how you look, but how you feel. It's about your inner experience and the inner effects--the positive longterm influence on your life energy and health. | | "My yoga journey began in 1988. I've explored a variety of styles including Iyengar & Ashtanga Vinyasa, & taken workshops & classes with some pretty well-known teachers; but my strongest influences are Paul Grilley & Andrey Lappa. I earned my teaching certification from Greenpath Yoga, a 200-hour Yoga Alliance accredited program in San Francisco."
